      Q
What is HDPE plastic sheet and what makes it different from other plastics?

HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic polymer known for its high strength-to-density ratio, excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and ease of fabrication. Compared with other plastics like PVC or PP, HDPE offers superior impact resistance, lighter weight, and non-toxic, food-safe properties, making it versatile for industrial, commercial, and food-contact applications.

      Q
What sizes and thicknesses are available? Can you customize dimensions?

We supply HDPE sheets in a wide range of standard sizes, typically 1000–2000 mm in width, 2000–6000 mm in length, and 1–100 mm in thickness. Custom lengths, widths, and thicknesses are available on request to meet specific project requirements. We also offer pre-cut parts, CNC machining, and welded assemblies.

      Q
Is HDPE sheet food-safe? Can it be used in direct contact with food?

Yes. We offer FDA- and USDA-compliant HDPE grades suitable for direct food contact. These sheets are non-toxic, hygienic, and resistant to cleaning chemicals, making them ideal for cutting boards, food processing work surfaces, and storage containers.

      Q
What is the temperature range for HDPE sheets?

Standard HDPE maintains its mechanical properties between –50 °C and +80 °C for continuous use and can tolerate short-term exposure up to around 100 °C. For applications requiring higher temperature resistance, we can supply special grades with enhanced thermal stability.

      Q
How resistant is HDPE to chemicals and moisture?

HDPE offers excellent resistance to most acids, alkalis, and many organic solvents. It also has very low moisture absorption (<0.01%), ensuring dimensional stability even in humid or wet environments.

      Q
Can HDPE sheets be welded, machined, or thermoformed?

Yes. HDPE is very easy to fabricate. We provide CNC cutting, drilling, routing, and welding services. The material can also be thermoformed or bent into custom shapes, and holes or slots can be pre-drilled to speed up installation.

      Q
What colors and grades are available?

Standard colors include natural (white), black, and blue. On request, we can produce sheets in custom RAL/Pantone colors. Available grades include general-purpose, food-grade, UV-stabilized, flame-retardant, and anti-static HDPE.

      Q
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Our standard MOQ is typically 500 kg per specification or as negotiated. We also support small trial orders for prototypes or testing.

      Q
How are HDPE sheets packaged for shipping?

Sheets are protected with PE film or paper interleaves, stacked on wooden pallets, and securely strapped for safe transport. Export packaging and custom labeling are available.
